Dark Descent Records To Release Paroxsihzem Debut

Dark Descent Records is now taking pre-orders for the self-titled debut from Toronto-based blackened death metal four-piece Paroxsihzem. Visit this location for pre-order information. The album will begin shipping on October 30th.

Paroxsihzem have posted the track "Nausea" from their 2010 demo at paroxsihzem.bandcamp.

Formed in 2007, Paroxsihzem puts forth a harsh, dark, demented, and atmospheric form of Black/Death metal. Their debut CD offers production that gives a very suffocating and nauseating feeling to their music which is only appropriate for the type of themes and inspiration used. There is no specific area of interest as history, philosophy, psychology and suicide are all touched upon as inspirational elements. The relation between all these is to reach the darkest, non-fictional embodiment of humanity, no spiritual, fictional or delusional inspirations used, only tangible events that convey a much more brutal and contorted view of humanity allowing for a closer association to the reality of existence. Each song in and of itself is unique, ranging from doomy and atmospheric, to chaotic and hateful, this is to help convey the insanity within humanity by utilizing a variety of powerful elements within the music. Mixed/Mastered by V.K.

GOREPHILIA's Embodiment of Death Out Now on Dark Descent Records

After two demos and a impressive EP, Finland's Gorephilia land a deadly strike with their debut album Embodiment of Death. Embodiment of Death is an impressive continuation of where the 2011's Ascend to Chaos left off. This doesn't totally describe the new album correctly as Gorephilia not only up the ante on that release in the sound department, but evolve with much stronger songwriting.

Thirty-six minutes spanning eight brand new tracks; Embodiment of Death is no retro album but pure, unadulterated death metal straight from the depths of Finland. With influences such as Sadistic Intent, early Morbid Angel and more, Embodiment of Death is exactly what title suggests.

Below you can listen the track
"Pantheon in Flames" via the band`s soundcloud player.

Embodiment of Death is available now via Dark Descent Records (click here to order) and vinyl treatment is coming later this year courtesy of Me Saco Un Ojo

BINAH: The hallucination begins...

The hallucination begins, into the psychomanteum makes us dream, as if we are present in a horror movie, the soft ambience of the music creates a dark and beautiful atmosphere where the guitar melody without distortion and the ghostly female voice become the perfect link to the beginning of an album of genuine death metal.

Binah easily distinguishes their sound, the almost melodic underground created by synths provides them an identity without ever losing the obscurity and the intensity of death metal they bring to avid and hungry metal listeners, Hallucinating In Resurrecture, a work that must be appreciated as a whole, from the beginning to the end.

The very heavy distortion and a great performance of Aort that plays rhythm, leads, bass and synths , the enormous grunt of Ilia R.G. and the battery always in rhythm full of variations played to perfection by A. Carrier keeps us caught up in their pure death metal construction.

Hallucinating in Resurrecture will be released on July 24th on CD through Dark Descent Records and on vinyl via Me Saco Un Ojo. Dark Descent Records has made the album available for pre-order at this location.

BINAH streams "Dissolution"

Decibel Magazine has posted an exclusive premier of "Dissolution" from Hallucinating in Resurrecture, the debut release from UK-based trio Binah. Visit the Deciblog to check out one of death metal's most impressive new acts.

Hallucinating in Resurrecture will be released on July 24th on CD through Dark Descent Records and on vinyl via Me Saco Un Ojo. Dark Descent Records has made the album available for pre-order at this location.

The entity that is Binah has spawned what is certain to be remembered as one of this year's weightiest and hungriest-sounding full-length recordings. Spanning ten tracks of morbid-sounding death, Hallucinating in Resurrecture captures the UK trio's concoction of obscure and primordial sounds; one that makes no secret of their Finnish, Dutch and Swedish (even some U.S. via Autopsy and Morbid Angel) prime inspirations yet oozes a dense ambiance that's distinctly their own. Whether exploring fast and serpentine sections or sparser and more reflective passages; this beast remains unrestrained in its intensity. Focusing on its song-craft and otherworldly in its vibes; familiar yet eerie, Hallucinating in Resurrecture is pure death. The cover art for Hallucinating in Resurrecture was done by MMonsterbrush.

Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo are thrilled to announce the release of Binah's debut, Hallucinating in Resurrecture. Focusing on its song-craft and otherworldly in its vibes; familiar yet eerie, Hallucinating in Resurrecture is pure death.

Hallucinating in Resurrecture will be released in late June/early July on CD through Dark Descent Records and as a standard LP via Me Saco Un Ojo. The cover art for Hallucinating in Resurrecture was done by MMonsterbrush.

UNCANNY's The Path of Flesh 7" Now Available Through Dark Descent Records

Formed in 1990, Sweden's Uncanny was an early progenitor of the Swedish death metal scene. After a couple demos, a split and an oft-overlooked full-length in 1994, Uncanny faced an untimely and unfortunate demise. Eighteen years after their lone debut, Splenium for Nyktophobia, Uncanny returns with two brand new tracks featured on this 7". This is not a reformation without merit. "Creation's Tomb" and "The Path of Flesh" are authentic slabs of death metal done the old way.

This 7" has three editions. Black vinyl version with matte finish glue pocket and insert, the green vinyl version which is exclusive to the UK's Me Saco Un Ojo Records and the white vinyl version exclusive to Dark Descent Records. Cover art was skillfully provided by Rafał Kruszyk.

UNCANNY 2012:

Jens Törnroos - Vocals
Fredrik Norrman - Guitars
Kennet Englund - Drums
Johan Jansson - Guitars
Mattias Norrman - Bass

UNCANNY released two demos (1991's Transportation to the Uncanny and 1992's Nyktalgia), a split release in 1993 with ANCIENT RITES and one full-length in 1994 titled Splenium For Nyktophobia. In 2011, Dark Descent Records released all one and a half hours of this classic-era Swedish death metal together on one double-disc package. Like the limited run 3LP Uncanny box set released by The Crypt in 2010, this 2CD is titled MCMXCI - MCMXCIV and features original artwork from Splenium For Nyktophobia as well as artwork from the demo era.
