Diabolical Premieres ‘Oracle’ Video

Yesterday, Swedish death metal masters Diabolical premiered their new video ‘Oracle’ via Terrorizer.

Guitarist Carl Stjärnlöv comments, "The concept of the ‘Oracle’ song and the Oracle chapter of the Book of Neogenesis is very special. It has a deep meaning to the concept of Neogenesis and it represents a turning point in the story of the protagonist. The chapter and the song take place in a mystical place full of symbolism and we wanted to stay true to the arcane nature of the song in its visual representation. We filmed in several countries and have put a lot of effort into making this a very pleasant visual experience which we hope you will appreciate."

‘Neogenesis’ is the latest record from Diabolical and comes with a book written by Carl Stjärnlöv with each chapter represented by each song on the album. The album is available right now via ViciSolum Productions.

Diabolical Reveal Tour Dates For 'Neogenesis Tour - Third Chapter'

Since the release of fifth album 'Neogenesis' via ViciSolum Productions last September, Swedish titans Diabolical have campaigning across Europe razing every city in their wake. 

Now the band have added a Third Chapter to the Neogenesis Tour that will start off on the 10th of April. Swedish colleagues Souldrainer and Hatescript will join forces with Diabolical on this tour, which will consist of dates in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Austria.

Vocalist and guitarist Sverker Widgren comments, ”The response for 'Neogenesis’ since its release has been overwhelming. I had never expected the scene to embrace ’Neogenesis’ the way it has done, and it makes me very excited about this tour. The fact that we are re-visiting areas we enjoy a lot and that we once again are joining forces with Souldrainer only adds to my excitement. It’s gonna be a great journey!”

Bassist Joakim Wassberg from Souldrainer comments, “We are thrilled to once again join our friends from Diabolical for a trip in Europe. This will be epic!”

DIABOLICAL Releases Pre-Production Trailer For Neogenesis

Swedish apocalyptic death metallers DIABOLICAL  are in the progress of recording their fifth album, entitled Neogenesis, and have now released a pre-production teaser on Youtube.

Vocalist and guitarist Sverker Widgren comments: "The recording is well under way and the results are very pleasing so far to say the least. However, it will take a while before we can share any of the actual album material, so we figured we can share some of our demo / pre-production material with all of you out there. I think it will be obvious to everyone now why we are very thrilled about the new album and it is our hope that you can join us in the excitement."

The band entered Necromorbus Studio in June to begin the recording process for Neogenesis. Guitarist/vocalist Sverker Widgren, who produced the band's 2008 release The Gallery Of Bleeding Art, is once again handling production duties. A series of video reports featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Neogenesis are being posted on Youtube as the album develops. DIABOLICAL Comment On Upcoming Album; Title and Track Listing Revealed

Swedish apocalyptic death metallers DIABOLICAL have started the recording sessions for their fifth album - entitled Neogenesis.

Guitarist Carl Stjärnlöv explains the album title: "Apart from being a physiological term, the title 'Neogenesis' translates to 'new beginning'. The word originates from Greek and Latin and it marks a new beginning for DIABOLICAL in many ways. Furthermore the title has a much more profound significance to the theme and concept of this album. The drum tracks laid down are amazing, and we are all very excited about continuing to work on 'Neogenesis.' There are definitely some new flavors to our sound, and most importantly, the song material of 'Neogenesis' is by far the greatest we've done."

DIABOLICAL Set To Enter The Studio

Swedish apocalyptic death metallers DIABOLICAL are set to enter the studio to record their as-of-yet untitled fifth album. The band has already started pre-production and will begin recording in June. "We have more than enough material written and pre-produced already, and we are confident that this album will be a milestone for DIABOLICAL as a band and for Metal as a genre." says guitarist Carl Stjärnlöv. The recording will take place at infamous Necromorbus Studio facilities, with vocalist and guitarist Sverker Widgren producing again. A release date is yet to be announced. "Time is never a parameter for us. What we do is beyond time and space." adds Stjärnlöv. The band will post a series of video studio diaries as work on the album progresses. DIABOLICAL Celebrate 15 Years of Death Metal; Announce European Dates

DIABOLICAL will celebrate 15 years of existence by doing some selected European dates in September. Each date will see different local support bands and special guests. Considering the nature of the tour, the band will do more old material than usual, covering all five official records released until now.

"We see this partly as a celebration of the 15 years that was, but mainly as an introduction of the 15 years that are to come. It is a great opportunity to pick up older material, and revisit some good and bad moments from the past. Looking back is only enjoyable to some..." says founding member Sverker Widgren.

DIABOLICAL have during the last decade and a half constantly been progressing, refusing to do the expected. Following the success of the second full-length album A Thousand Deaths (2002) the band toured Europe several times in 2002-03 with AMON AMARTH, VOMITORY and DEFLESHED among others, co-headlined Open Hell festival (2002) and Kaltenbach Open Air (2003) and played several other festivals as well. The albums were later re-released in South America, and both albums were released in the USA as well.

In 2008 DIABOLICAL returned with full force and delivered a milestone in their discography; taking their innovative death metal a huge step further with The Gallery of Bleeding Art. The album received brilliant reviews and was followed by a two small but very successful  headline tours though Europe.

  

In November 2010 DIABOLICAL released the single Eye, and January 2011 their latest CD entitled Ars Vitae, containing 17 tracks from different parts of the band's career. The newest material was recorded at Necromorbus Studio in 2010, and was again produced by founding band-member Sverker Widgren. Also, the CD contain a full live concert that has never been released before, and a remastered version of the Deserts of Desolation MCD, sold out since many years.

Having been a part of the death metal scene for 15 years, and releasing albums for over a decade, DIABOLICAL still manages to put out some of their best material up to date on Ars Vitae, proving that the band still progresses and has a great future ahead of them.

In November 2010 DIABOLICAL toured Europe with URN and INTERMENT, and followed it up with 11 concerts in Russia in March 2011 and various other shows during the spring. In September they travel to Europe once again to celebrate 15 years of existance, doing some selected show during their 15 YEARS ANNIVERSARY TOUR.
