DORO Issues Roadside Update Tempe, Arizona Meet & Greet Announced

Legendary Metal Queen DORO PESCH is currently finishing up the Raise Your Fist North American tour which commenced with a fiery appearance on the 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise late last month! Touring in support of the anthemic Raise Your Fist full-length, released worldwide via Nuclear Blast late last year, the iconic songstress continues to enthrall the masses with her permeating voice, metallic grace and infectious, onstage charm.

Comments the perpetually upbeat DORO: “So far the tour has been so amazing! It’s the best North American tour we’ve ever done. The venues have been packed and so many have sold out. The fans have been truly amazing and so supportive, it’s been overwhelming! The Joliet, Illinois show was so intense, we’re saving some of the live footage for an upcoming DVD. Some shows have been very long -- everyone wants to hear so many songs; so many encores! We are so looking forward to playing the rest of these shows, especially Hollywood! The old Warlock members, our label and so many friends are coming out. I truly thank all the fans who’ve made these shows so amazing and possible.”

DORO To Kick Off North American Tour; Trailer Posted

Legendary metal maven DORO PESCH will kick off her long-awaited North American tour tonight in Tampa, Florida following an explosive performance at this year’s edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise. DORO will be touring in support of her Raise Your Fist full-length, released worldwide via Nuclear Blast late last year. Featuring guest appearances by Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister  and Ozzy/Firewind guitarist Gus G, with artwork by British artist and longtime DORO collaborator Geoffrey Gillespie, Raise Your Fist debuted at #65 on the American Billboard Heatseekers chart upon its first week of release and was commended by Outburn in an 8/10 rating for delivering “50 minutes of expertly crafted Teutonic metal.”

DORO: New Album Debuts On Billboard Chart

Raise Your Fist, the twelfth studio album released last week in the U.S. and Canada by reigning metal queen DORO PESCH, has debuted at #65 on the American Billboard Heatseekers chart. DORO sends a huge thank you to all her fans for making this chart entry a reality!

Raise Your Fist was recorded and written in the U.S., Germany, and Scandinavia and features musical guests Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead and Ozzy/Firewind guitarist Gus G. DORO Featured In Decibel's "Women In Metal" Special Issue

Reigning Queen of Metal DORO PESCH is featured in Decibel Magazine’s August 2012 special “Women In Metal” issue. In an interview conducted by J. Bennett, DORO discusses her new Raise Your Fist record, reminisces about quitting her job in 1986 to tour with Judas Priest, what her one-year stint in a hospital years ago taught her, and the nexus of attitude and being dignified.

DORO: New Album Details Revealed

Reigning Queen of Metal, DORO PESCH, has checked-in from her work in the studio to issue the following update:

"The new album will be entitled Raise Your Fist and has been recorded and written in the U.S., Germany, and Scandinavia. Right now we're in the mixing stages and are close to finishing everything. Most important to me are the power hymns ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ and ‘Victory,’ which will also be available on the forthcoming EP! Both songs have been played live on our last tour and also made last year’s Wacken Open Air shake! ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ will also be available in French… which is going to be very interesting. For the diehard fans of German songs like ‘Für Immer’ [‘Forever’], there are two songs in the same vein: the sensitive and quite dark ‘Human Rights’ and the very emotional ‘Engel’ [‘Angel’]. There are also a lot of fast songs like ‘Little Headbanger’ and various fist-pumping ones featuring amazing guests like Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind) on ‘Last Man Standing’ which fans will for sure dig live. We also have a song that honors the late Ronnie James Dio called ‘Hero’ and another highlight named ‘It Still Hurts’ featuring Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister. The cover artwork has once again been created by British artist Geoffrey Gillespie who is a close friend and companion since he made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for his Triumph And Agony cover as the biggest album cover in the world. Since then, he's done ten covers for us!"

DORO PESCH Announces Two U.S. DVD Release Shows This Fall

In 2008, legendary metal queen, DORO PESCH, celebrated her 25th anniversary concert at the ISS Dome in her hometown of Dusseldorf, Germany. With over 8,500 people in attendance, the magical, full-documented performance included guest appearances by Overkill’s Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth, Grave Digger’s Chris Boltendahl, former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, Scorpions’ Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, Liv Kristine (Leaves’ Eyes), Floor Jansen (After Forever), Axel Rudi Pell and many others. The set was recorded in its entirety and resulted in the mammoth 25 Years In Rock 2 DVD/CD set which includes the once-on-a-lifetime concert as well as out-takes fromDORO's 2,500th concert and more. 25 Years In Rock will finally be available to North American fans on September 13, 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records.

In conjunction with the Stateside release, DORO will perform two special shows — her previously announced appearance in New York City on September 9th and an additional show in Chicago on September 11. Both nights will include clips from the DVD, limited edition merchandise and an autograph session followed by a performance by the metal queen herself. In related news, PESCH recently did a short run of shows in Spain with Dio Disciples filling in for singer Tim "Ripper" Owens. Dio Disciples is the new project featuring former Dio members Rudy Sarzo (bass), Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards), along with Owens and additional singer Toby Jepson, who pay tribute to legendary vocalist, Ronnie James Dio. Owens was unable to make the Spanish shows to celebrate his daughter's wedding.

DORO PESCH: Special DVD Release Show In NYC This Fall

Singer To Front Dio Disciples 

Legendary metal maven, DORO PESCH, will perform a special show in New York City this Fall. Scheduled for September 9, 2011 at the Gramercy Theatre, the show will mark the official U.S. screening/release party for DORO's 25 Years In Rock DVD, set for release in North America via Nuclear Blast on September 13. Released in Europe late last year (also via Nuclear Blast), the epic 2 DVD/CD set includesDORO's 25-year anniversary show in its entirety as well as out-takes from her 2,500th concert and so much more.
