ENEMY REIGN New Track Premiere

Today GunShyAssassin unveils “Forged From Suffering,” from Denver death metal behemoths ENEMY REIGN. The tune comes off the band’s recently completed Between Hell And Oblivion long player which was recorded at Flatline Audio by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt et al) and offers up 11 tracks of mile-high deathgrind brutality as well as the debut of vocalist, Stevie Boiser who replaced former throat, Sherwood Webber (Skinless), last Summer.

Comments drummer Andon Guenther of the song: "I think 'Forged From Suffering' is one of the songs that defines our sound and gives listeners and insight into our personal musical tastes. It's got the d-beat/Discharge/Motorhead influence, coupled with our love for all things grindcore and just good, old fashioned, no-frills death metal. It's also a song we wrote as a follow up to the song ‘Means To A Dead End,’ and the writing approach was very deliberate to incorporate those ideas and give listeners an updated version of that song. It just rocks and that's all we really intended it to do. No more and no less. Moreover, it's a song that blends many genres but doesn't sound like it's a forced issue, and I think that's why it means so much to me on a personal level and that's a skill that ENEMY REIGN has been honing since its inception."

Savor the audio punishment HERE.

Originating from Denver, Colorado, ENEMY REIGN does not adhere to the restrictions of a closed-minded genre. Simply tagged “Metal for Metalheads,” ENEMY REIGN draw influence from early ‘90s death metal, late ‘80s grindcore and East Coast hardcore. Between Hell And Oblivion will be available on digital download and vinyl in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for details.

ENEMY REIGN: Denver Death Metallers Complete New Record New Song Available

Denver death metal horde, ENEMY REIGN recently completed work on their long-awaited new full-length. Entitled Between Hell And Oblivion, the offering was recorded at Flatline Audio by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt et al) and offers up 11 tracks of mile-high deathgrind brutality as well as the debut of vocalist, Stevie Boiser who replaced former throat, Sherwood Webber (Skinless), last Summer.

Commented the band on the output: “Between Hell And Oblivion is a huge milestone for ENEMY REIGN both as a band and for us individually. It means we didn't give up even when we were written off, and accomplishing that feels great. Musically, we set out to refine what we feel our style of death metal is. We aren't pretentious people, and this is not a pretentious album. It's a no nonsense death metal album that pays homage to all the bands we grew up with and love, while keeping an eye on how we can add our own artistic license and create something we could listen to everyday. And we do...so enjoy the reign.”

Band To Play Three Kings Tavern In Denver With Acrassicauda Tonight!
After a brief hiatus,  Denver death metallers ENEMY REIGN are pleased to welcome new vocalist, Stevie Boiser, to the fold. Boiser replaces former throat , Sherwood Webber (Skinless), who fled the band amicably last year following a European tour , which included a slot on the Neurotic Deathfest. Commented Boiser on joining the ruckus: "I'm stoked to be working with such an awesome bunch of dudes. This is definitely the most in-your-face band I've ever been in, and the new material is coming along really well! I know I've got some pretty big shoes to fill but I'm confident I can do the job, and I intend to give this band my all. I'm excited to get out and show people exactly what we are capable of. Keep your eyes and ears open, because this is only the beginning."

ENEMY REIGN To Release Means To A Dead End EP In Europe Via Neurotic Records

Colorado-based extreme metallers ENEMY REIGN will release their critically acclaimed Means To A Dead End EP in Europe through Neurotic Records. The EP was recorded by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio (Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt et al) in 2008 and, until now, self-distributed through the ENEMY REIGN online webstore. The European version of this EP will contain one newly recorded exclusive bonus track entitled "If The Truth Hurts...Suffer." The European version will also have exclusive art work and other bonus materials. Check out the cover here:

Already a gem among underground metal fans in the know, Metal Hammer compared the EP to, "being repeatedly punched in the face by a ramrod." Terrorizer called the band "admissibly ferocious, hate-filled and avenging" and crowned Means To A Dead End, "a hard-hitting metal release, which more than deserves to be checked out on its own accord" while Hard Times Canada added, "this is deranged and technically-meticulous death metal for outcasts and non-believers with a discerning taste for standout extreme music."
ENEMY REIGN features the punishing lineup of former Skinless vocalist Sherwood Webber alongside drummer Andon Guenther (Deadspeak; creative director, programmer, and co-creator of Sick Drummer Magazine), guitarist Nick Guenther (Becoming The Enemy, Masakado) and bassist Cassie Begay (Throat Culture/Throcult, Deadspeak).
In conjunction with the EP's European release, the band will appear on the 2010 edition of the Neurotic Deathfest featuring Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Dying Fetus, Insision, Lock Up, Napalm Death and Origin (among many others), followed by a tour throughout Europe (dates TBA).
The band is currently working on their as-yet-untitled debut full-length. Further details to be unveiled soon. Stay tuned.

The band's self-financed EP, Means To A Dead End -- recorded by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio (Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt et al) -- continues to reap considerable praise from the media over a year after its release. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their debut full-length (label TBA).
"...death metal, the kind with big muscles and bigger t-shirts with offensive phrases in huge letters on the back..." -- Decibel
"An admissibly ferocious, hate-filled and avenging band who have confidently taken control of their own fate... This is a hard-hitting metal release, which more than deserves to be checked out on its own accord." -- Terrorizer
"These are the dudes that I’m gonna spin in the car when I’m late and on my MP3 thingy-ma-jig when I’ve had a gutful of the world and the old ladies and little children in my way need to be scattered in an efficient and final manner…The perfect record to feed your loathing of the world and it’s worst facets." -- Mass Movement
"The tracks on this EP don't play, they detonate...the vocals cast a shockwave and the music leaves a crater. From the furious opening of 'Command' to the brutal breakdowns of 'Abuse,' Means To A Dead End is music to riot to." -- Unholy Gate
