GRIMUS: Forthcoming Album Streaming In Full; Band To Play Hometown Release Show This Saturday

With the imminent release of their face-raping first full-length now closing in, Garden State’s favorite death metal troupe, GRIMUS, invite you to dislocate various appendages with a full stream of Omnicide now available through their official BandCamp page at THIS LOCATION.

Omnicide delivers thirty-six ravaging minutes of devastating death metal barbarity. Said the Wicked Channel in a recent review of the record, “From the deep, guttural vocals straight from the bowels of hell to the razor sharp guitar riffs and precision blastbeat drum work, GRIMUS has everything that a death metal fan could ever dream up in their worst nightmares,” while New-Transcendence, in a perfect 10/10 rating, agrees commending the record’s, “gut-splitting slams and bone-shattering breakdowns. The sheer amount of heaviness prevalent on Omnicide is hard to put into words.” Adds The New Noise, “If you are a fan of Bloodbath, The Acacia Strain, Behemoth, Beneath the Massacre, or Whitechapel, you will enjoy GRIMUS.”

Tracked and mixed by guitarist Marco Bobadilla at Crimson Recording and mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Beneath the Massacre, Job For A Cowboy etc.) at West West Side Music, Omnicide is a testament to man’s inherently bloodthirsty nature and a virtual soundtrack to “the age of none.” Spawned of death metal masters Bloodbath, Hate Eternal and Behemoth yet with the cutting edge stylings of The Acacia Strain and Whitechapel, all backed with a muscular New Jerseyhardcore surge, GRIMUS is an act who will appeal to diehards of crushing, nihilistic death metal old and new.

Omnicide will be available via major digital outlets, such as iTunes and Amazon, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. GRIMUS: New Jersey Brutal Death Metal Crew Drops Details Of Debut Full-Length

Almost three years after their pummeling Gutter Earth EP was inflicted upon the masses, cold-blooded Elizabeth, New Jersey-based death metal insurgents GRIMUS have completed their first proper full-length, Omnicide.

With its members all hailing from a plethora of extreme metal acts including Iberian black metal outfit Windfaerer, Metal Blade tech/death act Allegaeon and others, the members of GRIMUS are united in hatred for humankind, their output surging with guttural, cutting-edge death metal prowess, with monolithic slams and swells of the most vicious kind infiltrating their uncompromising low-end attack. These atrocious features are grippingly captured on the quintet’s debut full-length album, Omnicide. The term literally meaning the killing of everything is a testament to man's inherent, bloodthirsty nature and audacity to alter his surroundings, through efficient forms of destruction. Paradoxically, mankind is willfully committing suicide in its attempt to become a godlike creator. This album is a soundtrack to the decimation of all that is known, "the age of none."

A thirty-six minute onslaught of blasting and grooving barbarity, Omnicide was tracked and mixed by guitarist Marco Bobadilla at Crimson Recording and mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Beneath the Massacre, Job For A Cowboy) at West West Side Music. GRIMUS will self-release Omnicide on June 25 2013.

GRIMUS: New Jersey Death Metallers Join Innerstrength Records

New Jersey death metal barbarians GRIMUS recently inked a record deal with New York-based Innerstrength Records. Commented the band of the union: "We are pleased to announce our new deal with Innerstrength Records! They put out some great, quality, heavy underground music and we're excited to be part of their growing roster. Be on the alert for GRIMUS coming to a venue near you as well as some new music next year."

GRIMUS released their pummeling Gutter Earth EP earlier this year.
