Shallow Ground replaces Smash Potater for the Pre-Fest Showcase of the Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air

Warriors of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization is pleased to announce that the Wallingford, CT Thrash Metal band, SHALLOW GROUND, signed to Germany's Killer Metal Records has replaced the crossover Thrash Metal band SMASH POTATER for the Pre-Fest Showcase of the Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air.  The Pre-Fest Showcase will be held at The Shrunken Head Rock Club at 251 West 5th Avenue in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday evening, June 27th.  Doors open at 6:00 pm and music starts at 6:45 pm.  Admission is $10.

Band guitarist and vocalist, Keith Letourneau states: "We are honored to be playing the Pre-Fest Showcase of the Worriors Of Metal Fest Open Air this summer.  We will be bringing our "Old School Thrash" out to the Midwest, East Coast Style!  We hope your audience is ready to get thrashed down to 'Shallow Ground'!!!"  The band's full length debut album entitled "The End of Everything" will be released in early 2013 through Killer Metal Records.

Jordan's DRAGONRIDER confirmed for Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air

Warriors of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization is very excited to to announce the addition of the very first middle eastern Power Metal band to our next year's lineup.  Dragonrider from Amman, Jordan has been confirmed for Warriors of Metal Fest VI Open Air to take place on June 28 & 29, 2013 at the Frontier Ranch in Pataskala, Ohio. 

The band's lead guitarist, Ra'ed "Mad Rad" Miqdadi stated: "We are very excited and honored to play at WOM Festival , since we have always been influnced by great US Power Metal bands many of whom have been featured at this festival in the past and of course, we are also fans of the European Power Metal scene which the festival seems to emphasize on its annual lineups.  This is a big chance for the band to play a US Festival, to spread our music, and to perform a live show for the American Metalheads."

Dragonrider just concluded its collaboration with Benedictum's Veronica Freeman as one of two guest vocalists (the other being Carsten "Lizard" Schulz) who have contributed their talents to Dragonrider's debut album "Scepter of Domination" for bonus tracks on that release.  World famous Metal album artist, Jean-Pascal Fournier (DragonForce, Avantasia, Edguy, Gaia Epicus, Unleash The Archers, Power Quest and many others) has done the artwork for the album to be released in early 2013.

The bands confirmed for Warriors of Metal Fest VI Open Air so far include:  Flotsam and Jetsam (Arizona, USA), Attacker (New Jersey, USA), October 31 (Virginia, USA),  Dawn of Valor (Minnesota, USA), Skull Hammer & Seax (Massachusetts, USA), Dantesco & Alas Negras (Puerto Rico), Axenstar (Sweden), Voltax (Mexico), and Dragonrider (Jordan)

A little more about the band:

Dragonrider started back in 2001 when Rad left his former band, Virgin Killer to create his own band and music.

Having trouble finding Musicians with the same taste in music he moved alone till he formed Valderia then he changed the name to Dragonrider. The band had many line-up changes until it finally settled down with the current members.

The band combines Speed, Melody and old school elements due to each member's influences, the lyrical theme fights depression it has also a rebellious theme.

Dragonrider kept moving until the 1st line up gathered and released their 1st Demo in 2007 (Musical Sword). The band has many unreleased Demos due to Financial issues.

Later in 2009 Rad got in touch with his old Friend Ala'a Hamdan who has done the Audio Engineering and Production of Moon Serenade E.P, since then Ala'a Hamdan has become the band's Audio engineer and Guest Keyboardist.

WARRIORS OF METAL FEST VI OPEN AIR unveils FLOTSAM AND JETSAM for 2013

Warriors of Metal, Inc. is honored to announce that the Premier American Power Thrash Metal band, Flotsam and Jetsam has been confirmed to headline one of the two nights of the Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air in 2013. 

Flotsam and Jetsam are currently in the middle of recording their 11th full length album entitled "Ugly Noise".  Band vocalist, Eric "A.K." Knutson states: "[Warriors of Metal Fest Open Air] sounds like a lot of fun and we have a new show that really rocks hard.....[coming to WOM Fest] will be worth it!" and band drummer Kelly Smith observes: "This line up has not played in the US since 1996 and Flotsam has not played in the US since 2001."

MANILLA ROAD & HELSTAR to Headline the Warriors Of Metal Fest V Open Air in Ohio

Warriors Of Metal Inc. Headquarters at Amelia, Ohio. February 29th, 2012

In exactly 4 months the Epic Metal masters of MANILLA ROAD will headline the Friday night of the Warriors Of Metal Fest V Open Air on June 29th at the Frontier Ranch in Pataskala, Ohio (just 20 minutes East of Columbus, OH). Mark "The Shark" Shelton states: "We have not played in Ohio since 1988 or '89 and we're really looking forward to play at this American True Metal festival in Ohio!"

On Saturday night, June 30th, HELSTAR will return to performing in Ohio after 26 years. Last time Helstar performed in Ohio was after the release of their "Remnants Of War" album in 1986!

The Warriors Of Metal Fest V Open Air will take place on June 29th & 30th, 2012 at the Frontier Ranch, 8836 York Road, Pataskala, Ohio which is just a 20 minute drive East of the capital city of Columbus, Ohio.  Tickets for this event are now on sale at the Fest website: www.warriorsofmetalfest.com 

Weekend passes for adults (17 and up) are just $50 and Weekend 4-Packs for adults (groups of 4 people) are only $40 per person.  Adult single day tickets are $30 for each day and $25 per person in a 4-Pack for a sigle day ticket.  Teenager tickets (11-16) are only $15 for the whole weekend, Friday only or Saturday only.  Kids under 11 get in for Free.  Camping is free and ticket buyers can also pre-order their Fest T-shirts at the time of their ticket purchase.
