This Saturday (June 18th, 2011), Abyss Records' resident maniacs MAAX will carpet bomb their hometown Indianapolis, Indiana with their bastardized black n' roll when they take the stage at POUND FEST 2. Mere weeks later, MAAX will invade Urbana, Illinois for an appearance and this year's Central Illinois Metalfest. Dubbed "The Sickest Fest In The Midwest", CIM 2011 features some of the biggest and best names in extreme metal over three days (July 22nd - 24th). MAAX takes the stage on Saturday, July 23rd. MAAX released their Six Pack Witchcraft EP last year on Abyss Records to critical acclaim. Terrorizer Magazine touted the release for its "filth, dirty, rotten, recorded deep in a hole don't fuck with us savagery" and DOA Magazine called the EP "beer drinking, hell-raising Punk/Thrash metal with FUCKING BALLS!"
