Costa Rica won this time with Corpse Garden, and advance to the International Battle at Wacken Open Air in Germany. After 9 Preliminary rounds, plus a final, 62 bands in 6 countries celebrated the second "W:O:A Metal Battle " in Central America. The Final took place in San Jose, Costa Rica into the third version of the metal festival "Bone Breaker" and the jury based on metal experts from Central America, the death metal band was designed to be the representation to the finals in Germany.

Corpse Garden is a Death Metal band from Costa Rica. Formed in 2008
from a dissolution of a Gore/Grind band they recorded their first demo
on 2009. In 2011, the hit the studio to record their full-lenght album
'Burnt by the Light' in Bushido Audio Productions and also the album was
mastered by Jens Bogren from Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Amon
Amarth, Bloodbath, Symphony X, among others). They release their debut
album on January 20,2012 and won the Central American Wacken Metal
Battle 2012.
