Prepare
your appetite for Adrenechrome´s first EP release “Hideous Appetites” on
November 20, a self-release full of taste that brings back that good old rock
and roll sound with a special blend that will not leave you indifferent. Let
the rock begin.
Adrenechrome
is a four men formation from Orillia, Ontario created in the spring of 2010. With
Chris Friesen (guitar/vocals), Tim Kehoe (guitars), Matt Copeland (drums) and
Mike Van Dyke (bass) the band was ready to unleash a genre of heavy metal that they
like to call “melt you fucking face” with a progressive touch and many
influences such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Mastodon, Corrosion of Conformity,
Children of Bodom and many others. With a combination of such powerful
influences the result could only be remarkable and in fact you can easily
distinguish every style played in their music with a balanced mixture of the
70´s rock and roll, 80´s grunge, 90´s thrash metal and the latest melodic metal.
They offer a historical journey that brings us the best of each musical era
with a complete and fresh style that despite the notable similarities with the
huge predecessors remains unique and appealing in a shelf that catalogs it as a
new sound in a vast genre of metal.
“Hideous
Appetites” is an edacious seven track EP with 33 minutes of nonstop headbanging
contemplating a vast range of destructive metal. This work has much to offer to
fans of the old school rock but opens the door and welcomes all types of
appreciators. With a huge spectrum of sounds you can hear a furious guitar with
a heavy and catchy riffing with a flavor of thrash and hard rock that also
hosts cool melodies, a well worked progressive drumming that blows your mind, a
very technical bass that doesn´t stay concealed in the music background, and a
voice that goes from roaring growls to a less harsh vocal work.
What
they are today is due to be passion each one of them has for music. With an
instrument in hand from an early age they dedicated their lives to what they do
best… rock! With much experience, technique and musical tastes in common the
results were instantaneous and Adrenechrome turned out to be a smashing success
of metal still with a long way to go ahead.
With
“Hideous Appetites” they showed what they are here for… “Melt your fucking
face” with massive metal. Don´t miss these guys!
One melee with the words, ideas and its paradoxes... albuns that are news, the reviews at "HeavyHardMetalmania.net", always with its watermark, Pedro Ribeiro, with love for beer... sorry, music from an early age, he studied piano and singing from 7 to 14 years, then, devoted himself to the study of the guitar for 5 years. "The wisdom is found in the extremes, all extreme Metal here!"
