CLEANTEETH: Thunderous Brooklyn Quintet Preparing For 2013 Takeover

Be prepared to have your face peeled back by Brooklyn-based quintet CLEANTEETH; a collective of veteran musicians with previous attachments to notable acts Destructo Swarmbots, Hull and more, as well as current members of Goes Cube and White Widows.

Formed in early 2008 as an experimental noise project, CLEANTEETH has since evolved into a crushing array of loud rock, doom metal and electronic noise, influenced by the likes of Karp, Butthole Surfers, Godflesh and My Bloody Valentine, yet with a crushing, sinister, post-hardcore edge fans of Kiss It Goodbye, Breach and Will Haven can get down with. Following a three-song demo recorded with Brendan Tobin (Made Out Of Babies, Red Sparowes) on Halloween of 2009, the outfit’s underwent several personnel expansions, the current lineup just one member short of a six-pack now complete.

Now, bringing forth their triple-guitarist attack boasting more full-stacks than band members, CLEANTEETH takes a wall-of-sound approach to creating its own bastard blend of thunderous riffage. With this ruthless faction continually raiding clubs throughout the NYC area and beyond, the band has shared beer-soaked stages with Eyehategod, Kylesa, Priestess, Saviours, Harvey Milk, All Pigs Must Die, Narrows, Trap Them and many others, and will continue to bleed ears dry as new gigs are being devised for the coming months and through 2013.

CLEANTEETH recently recorded their debut LP which will be released in early 2013 on a label to be confirmed in the near future. Stay tuned. In the meantime check out newly acquired live footage of the unit destroying Saint Vitus Bar as direct support for Eyehategod at the end of November via Metal Injection.

CLEANTEETH lineup:

James O'Brien - guitar
John McKinney - guitar and throat
Pete Ross - guitar and throat
Drew Mack - bass and throat
Kenny Appell - drums and beard
