The Belgian extreme metal festival Metal Méan has set August 17th 2013 as the date for its 9th edition. So far no bands have been announced. The location stays the same, the small village Méan.
The annual one-day Metal Méan Festival is recognized as one of the only extreme metal festivals in Belgium. The 2012 lineup featured NILE, IMMOLATION, TAAKE, GORGUTS and many others. 1800 metalheads visited the festival. In the past bands like MAYHEM, SEPTICFLESH, FINNTROLL, ROTTING CHRIST,.. made their appearance.
Commented crewmember Willem Van Maele: "we are working hard on next year's edition. The concept stays the same and it won't be easy to top last year's edition, but we won't settle for less!"
Metal Méan has a 'for the fans, by the fans' mentality and prefers quality over quantity by choosing to have only one stage.
