I, The Writer are a 6-piece melodic metalcore band from London, UK. Fusing together atmospheric melodies with crushing breakdowns and snarling vocals, the band is a force to be reckoned with on the heavy music scene. Their influences are incredibly diverse and all factor into their original sound; from Memphis May Fire and August Burns Red, to Killswitch Engage and Linkin Park.
Their love for such a variety of genres comes through in their energetic live shows. On the back of impressive performances alongside Being as an Ocean (USA), With One Last Breath, Napoleon and many more, the band were signed to Self Made Records in May 2013. With their first full-length album, ‘The Prisoner’s Dilemma’ to be released worldwide on August 19th and a UK tour this summer, big things lay in store for I, The Writer this year.
