HOD Added To Chaos In Tejas Fest

San Antonio blackened death horde HOD were recently added to the annual Chaos In Tejas fest supporting death metal icons, Benediction. The assault will take place on May 30th at Red 7 [inside stage] in Austin, Texas. Bodies will be mangled. Souls will be torn.

Comments the band: “We look forward to smashing your skulls and burning your souls all weekend long. Everyone get you asses to Texas and raise some hell! We also will be playing in San Antonio on June 1 with Abigail and Speedwolf at the Korova. So as you can see it will be an insane weekend for the state of Texas.”

HOD recently unleashed three new hymns of iniquity in by way of The Uncreated Demo. Recorded by Dennis Munoz (Solstice) and Stuart “Batlord” Laurence (Agony Column/Ignitor) The Uncreated Demo features the recording lineup of guitarist Necron, vocalist Vladibeer Reebs, bassist T.A., and drummer Dennis Sanders and serves as a disease-ridden apocalyptic precursor to the band’s forthcoming Book of the Worm full-length. “This demo isn’t just HOD’s return to the frontlines,” notes Reebs. “It’s the first assault of a whole new war and siege! HOD: Blackened Death Metal Legion Added To Morbid Angel Show Today In San Antonio; New Live Footage Posted

San Antonio blackened death metal legion, HOD, will be providing support for extreme metal behemoths Morbid Angel, Dark Funeral and Grave today night at Backstage Live in San Antonio! As previously announced, HOD are putting the final touches on their upcoming new full-length. Titled Book Of The Worm, the follow up to 2009’s Serpent features nine tracks of molten metal riffs and sonic decay. HOD Set To Release New Material

Vocalist Beer Reebs of Texas death metal maniacs HOD have issued the following update on the band's  highly anticipated second full-length entitled Book Of Worms, the imminent release of an unholy trio of tunes and forthcoming live action; "Due to numerous lineup changes (4 total) in the past 1 1/2 - 2yrs and lack of finances, our sophmore album Book of the Worm was inevitably pushed back, and pushed back. During this time I spoke with Big Bald Brian from Ossuary Industries, who has been a long time friend and supporter to HOD. I told him we couldn't commit to a full length album due to our obligations/loyalty to Ibex Moon Records but we could commit to a split of some sorts. He mentioned the upcoming Limbsplitter 2 compilation he was putting together. Needing to release SOMETHING to appease the masses we agreed to jump on that. He even let us pick another group of our choosing to join in on the chaos. We chose our comrades in the black/death group Locusta to accompany us alongside Demonaical Genuflection, Ingurgitate, & Iniquitous respectively. I forget who's doing the mastering but the artwork was done by the very twistedly sick Jon Zig. We recorded our three tracks with Dennis Munoz of Solstice fame. Our three slabs of hate are titled:

1. Awakening Blasphemous Abominations

2. And the Smoke Will Rise  

3. To Call Forth the Deep Ones

These tracks were recorded as a 4 piece and are the last recorded tracks w/founding member Dennis Sanders on drums. The disc will hopefully be available at the Gathering of the Bestial Legion V fest being held in L.A. Sat Jan 14th where we (HOD) share the stage w/Death Metal titans Autopsy, Incantation, Acheron, Divine Eve and more.

When we get back home we'll play a "local" show the 21st with some fellow TX Black and Death Metal bands while awaiting our March 26th show opening for the mighty Onslaught and M:pire of Evil.Recording of our 2nd album will be getting finished during this time as well. Till then, get your limbs split by Ossuary Industries w/the Limbsplitter 2 disc. Fuckin' Metal!"

HOD Announces New Guitarist

Texas death metal maniacs Hod are proud to announce the addition of Erika Tandy (Morgengrau, Bracaglia, ex-Ignitor) as second guitarist. Known for her impressive vocal work running the gamut from neoclassical (Autumn Tears) to traditional heavy metal (Ignitor, Bracaglia), Erika is also a guitarist who fronts her own death metal unit, Morgengrau. "This was an opportunity I could not turn down," she says. "Hod is a first class band and brothers in arms. I'm honored to be a part of the band and ready to start the destruction!"

Hod guitarist Carl "Necron" says "I have known Erika for some time and I know she is dedicated to metal. She has a great attitude and ferocious playing style.  We look forward to playing more shows and destroying more souls with her!"

Erika will join the band next month when they take part in this year's Goregrowler's Ball, which runs November18th - 20th in San Antonio, TX. Hod will perform on Saturday, November 19th. She will also take part in the recording of Hod's highly-anticipated second full-length album, Book Of Worms. Set to be recorded later this year, Book Of Worms is the follow up to the acclaimedSerpent, which is currently available through the Ibex Moon Records Webstore.

HOD Comments On Central Illinois Metalfest

After trekking across the country (and parts of Canada) with as a part of Marduk's Seven Bowls of Wrath tour earlier this year, San Antonio's masters of blackened death/thrash HOD are set to invade the Midwest again when they take part in this weekend's Central Illinois Metalfest in Champaign/Urbana, IL. HOD will join Ibex Moon Records labelmates Cardiac Arrest and many more of extreme metal's best for what has been dubbed "The Sickest Fest In The Midwest." HOD takes the stage on Sunday, July 24th. The band had the following to say, 

"Just a couple more days until we head out to the Central Illinois Metal Fest. Hod will be playing Sunday. We look forward to sharing the stage with Nachtmystium, Nunslaughter, Gravehill, Cardiac Arrest, Exhumed, Internal Bleeding and the list goes on. Expect to hear a bunch new stuff from our upcoming album "Book of the Worm". Should be a sick fest! HOD Set To Kick Off Tour With MARDUK

San Antonio's masters of blackened death/thrash HOD are gearing up to hit the road with black metal legends MARDUK, along with  AURA NOIR, BLACK ANVIL and PANZERFAUST as part of the Seven Bowls of Wrath Tour. HOD will join MARDUK and the rest of thus unholy crew on May 29th in Montreal and then end their trek with a handful of co-headlining dates with PANZERFAUST. All of this is coming in anticipation of the band's follow up to their critically-acclaimed debut, Serpent, which Zero Tolerance called a "venomous explosion of black, death, and thrash metal fury" and Terrorizer called "non-commercialized, uncompromising and slightly unhinged death metal." HOD Announces Live Dates and New Album Details

San Antonio's masters of blackened death/thrash HOD are gearing up for one hellaciously brutal summer with a series of live dates that will see the band join forces with Marduk, Aura Noir, Black Anvil, Panzerfaust and many more as they devastate parts of the US and Canada with their relentless brand of extreme metal. All of this is coming in anticipation of the band's follow up to their critically-acclaimed debut, Serpent, which Zero Tolerance called a "venomous explosion of black, death, and thrash metal fury" and Terrorizer called "non-commercialized, uncompromising and slightly unhinged death metal." The new material is expected to see the light of day in the coming months. HOD guitarist Carl "Lord Necron" Snyder comments on the upcoming tour and new album,"The name of the new album has been chosen - Book of the Worm. We shall unleash this album sometime later this year.  We have worked on the music for this album for quite some time.  We hope to announce the producer soon for this album, we just need to nail the down who we want to mix it.  Expect an announcement soon.  Also we will be hitting the road this summer with Marduk, Aura Noir, Black Anvil and Panzerfaust.  This is one brutal lineup.  We will also play the Goregrowler's Ball this year; hitting the stage with Suffocation, Exhumed, Aborted, Gravehill, Cardiac Arrest and many more.  We have a busy end of the year ahead of us.  So we hope to see the legions of metalheads out there this year. We will be announcing soon even more live dates too. Just need to confirm them. We will keep you posted. One last thing, coming up this Saturday, April 16, we will take the stage with legends Exhorder and Rigor Mortis.
