Marduk: Censored show in Belarus for being "Preaching Satanism" STATEMENT OF THE BAND

Marduk made ​​a short statement about the band had been censored for a show in Belarus because of "an affront to Christian values​​"

"The Prosecutor General’s Office has banned Swedish black metal band Marduk from playing a show in Minsk, Belarus.

"Pavel Radzivonaw, a departmental head at the Prosecutor General’s Office, told reporters on Monday that Marduk’s concert, scheduled for May 22, would not take place. 'The band preaches Satanism, which has nothing to do with art,' he says. 'This is an affront to Christian values, they preach the ideas of death, of the Third Reich.'

"The other bands that were scheduled to appear with Marduk at the Re:Public club — including Kataklysm and Vader — will be allowed to perform. Radzivonaw warned the show may be stopped if the performances involve violations of laws.

"I wonder who's really pushing for the Third Reich ideas here..."

MARDUK: Seven Bowls Of Wrath 2011 Tour To Commence Today!

Today, Swedish black metallers MARDUK begin their Seven Bowls Of Wrath 2011  North American tour! The chaos begins tonight with a headlining slot at the Maryland Deathfest. From there, the band will systematically terrorize Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Detroit,  Cleveland and Brooklyn with Aura Noir, Black Anvil, Panzerfaust and HOD. In addition, the New York show will include an art exhibition by Oluremi White, whose work includes pieces inspired by the band. 

Said the band in a collective statement, "As MARDUK are about to begin the 7 Bowls Of Wrath Tour, we can also announce that at the New York show there will be an exclusive exhibition by New York artist Oluremi White, who will be presenting his paintings related to themes and visions based upon MARDUK songs. MARDUK will be release their new EP, Iron Dawn, TODAY at the Maryland Deathfest. The EP will also be available at the six additional North American shows to follow. HOD Set To Kick Off Tour With MARDUK

San Antonio's masters of blackened death/thrash HOD are gearing up to hit the road with black metal legends MARDUK, along with  AURA NOIR, BLACK ANVIL and PANZERFAUST as part of the Seven Bowls of Wrath Tour. HOD will join MARDUK and the rest of thus unholy crew on May 29th in Montreal and then end their trek with a handful of co-headlining dates with PANZERFAUST. All of this is coming in anticipation of the band's follow up to their critically-acclaimed debut, Serpent, which Zero Tolerance called a "venomous explosion of black, death, and thrash metal fury" and Terrorizer called "non-commercialized, uncompromising and slightly unhinged death metal." The new album, titled Book Of The Worm, is expected to see the light of day in the coming months. HOD guitarist Carl "Lord Necron" Snyder comments, "Just a couple more days until Hod hits the road with Marduk, Aura Noir, Black Anvil and Panzerfaust!  We look forward to all the new places we will be playing.  Make sure to get to the shows early because everyone of these bands will destroy.  A lot of new material will be unleashed so be ready to hear a lot of new material from the upcoming Book of the Worm album."

Swedish black metallers MARDUK recently completed recording three new songs for an upcoming EP. Dubbed Iron Dawn, the EP is set for release via Regain Records on May 27, 2011, at the Maryland Deathfest where the band will make their long-anticipated appearance. The EP will also be available at the six additional North American shows to follow with a worldwide street date of May 30, 2011.

MARDUK: North American Tour Dates Announced

"Seven cities, seven shows, seven bowels of wrath to be unleashed upon mankind!"

Following a successful North American run of dates on the Blackest Of The Black tour alongside Danzig and Possessed (among many others) as well as a march through Asia to close 2010 , Swedish black metal battalion MARDUK are set to return to the U.S. for another round of live performances! The evil will commence on May 27 at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore and run through a week's worth of dates, closing on June 3 at the Williamsburg Music Hall in Brooklyn, New York. Support will be provided by Aura Noir, Black Anvil, Panzerfaust and HOD.

MARDUK: Band Marches Through Asia

Regain To Release Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Box Set in 2011

Having recently returned from a successful stint on the coveted Blackest Of The Black tour through North America playing alongside Danzig and Possessed (among many others), Swedish black metal squadron MARDUK recently set out to destroy Asia. The tour kicked off this weekend in China and will pummel its way through Singapore and several locations in Indonesia before drawing to a close on December 12th.

In related news, the MARDUK collective is celebrating 20 wrathful years of blood and iron since forming in 1990. Stronger than ever before, Regain will commemorate the band's 20th anniversary with a limited edition box set to be released in early 2011. The box will document the first two decades of MARDUK. MARDUK: Blackest Of The Black Tour Update

Swedish black metallers MARDUK are currently readying for their triumphant return to the U.S. later this month as part of the coveted Blackest Of The Black tour, founded by Danzig frontman/legend Glenn Danzig in 2003 as a way to promote extreme bands of his choosing from around the globe. The 2010 edition will officially kick off on October 25 and wind its way through over a dozen cities before making its last stop in mid November.
