The debut album from the Ukrainian progressive death-doom band Odradek Room is now available to order from Hypnotic Dirge Records. The 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack available for $10 (+ shipping, or $52 for 5 CD's, free shipping) with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English. The album is also available online for free streaming and $5 digital downloads on bandcamp and anyone who orders a copy of the digipack will receive a free download link while they wait for their CD to arrive!

Named after one of Franz Kafka's short stories, Odradek Room is an atmospheric and progressive death-doom band with post-rock leanings from Mariupol, Ukraine. Initially formed in 2008 under the name 'Shards of Silence', the past five years has given the band ample time to develop and refine their sound for their debut album 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' Creating dynamic and profound music, rich in tempo and mood variation, Odradek Room has crafted an extremely strong debut which perfectly shows the duality between the aggressive and melancholic sides of death-doom combining slow plodding riffs, soaring emotional melodies, post-rock leanings, and a psychedelic touch to create a rich canvas of sonic majesty. A conceptual album based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness, the album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English, since it was very important to the band for the lyrical concept of this work to be comprehensible in both languages. The track 'Suffocation' from Odradek Room's upcoming album 'Bardo. Relative Reality' has now been made available for streaming and free download. This is now the third song to be made available from 'Bardo. Relative Reality' and this one really explores the softer and slower side of Odradek Room's multifaceted sound weaving dreamy melody, soulful vocals, and a melancholic atmosphere. Clean vocals sung in Russian are also clearly heard on this track and this language really works well to create the appropriate sound.

As well as this, the 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' album is now available for pre-order as of today! Odradek Room is an atmospheric and progressive death-doom band formed in 2008 with post-rock leanings from Donetsk, Ukraine. The band has completed their first full length album, Бардо. Относительная реальность a conceptual album based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness, which will be released on Hypnotic Dirge in early 2013.

Their first full-length album, Бардо. Относительная реальность was initially recorded in early 2012  and self-released in digital format. However, it was later decided that the album would be re-recorded to fix up a few issues in the recordings, and that process is now complete. The upcoming album, based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness is now prepared for a release in early 2013, and is a perfect representation of Odradek Room's ability to incorporate both the agressive and melancholic sides of death-doom combining slow plodding riffs, soaring melodies, post-rock leanings, and a progressive touch.

The band was formed in 2008, initially under the name “Осколки Тишины” / “Shards of Silence”.

At the beginning of 2010, the band has approved its current name and their first release appeared on the compilation of Doom-art.ru project and gained a lot of attention with the record of their first album.

This band’s music proposes to a listener progressive doom/death with post-metal inclusions. The canvas of their music consists of permanent contrasts of aggressiveness and sadness, blackness and whiteness.
