Sejersen from live footage he filmed at the nihilistic Italian crew’s crushing show in Loppen, Copenhagen, Denmark last year, the video for “May God Damn All Of Us” artistically authenticates the band’s brutalizing live intensity.

“May God Damn All Of Us” indeed... witness it below.

THE SECRET Unleashes “Seven Billion Graves” Video

Italy’s most caustic metal/hardcore outfit THE SECRET has unleashed an official video for their nihilistic cry against humanity, "Seven Billion Graves." Directed by Shazzula Nebula, the video was released via Scion AV, and was posted first at Invisible Oranges today, who sums it up quite well, stating: “There’s no story, no band members, and indeed, no humans present. Cameras roam the remains of dead civilizations or skitter over broken terrain. All is rendered in greys and blacks. It’s a grim vision, and a fair aesthetic match for THE SECRET’s stark metalcore. No rounded edges or straight lines here.”

The fourth album from THE SECRET, the decimating Agnus Dei is the most lethal weapon in this unique Italian attack squad’s broadening arsenal, coalescing the most destructive elements of crust, black metal and hardcore with the force of tectonic plates, constructed of monolithic riffs, taking the listener on a hallucinated trip towards a hazy tomorrow. Recorded by Kurt Ballou (High on Fire, Converge, Black Breath) at Godcity Studios, Agnus Dei received bewildered praise from media across the planet and has appeared in dozens of journalist and zine year-end lists.

THE SECRET Lash Out With Venomous New Track

With their fourth LP Agnus Dei nearing North American release on October 23rd via Southern Lord, Western Italy’s hate force THE SECRET drop another preview of their new album’s destructive nature.

The fifth track on Agnus Dei, “Post Mortem Nihil Est,” conveys its carnage with a more mid-paced rhythm than the majority of THE SECRET’s generally high-speed anthems, without coming up short on the band’s patented style of blackened hardcore detestation. States founding vocalist Marco Coslovich on the lyrical direction of the track: “The song is about people being in debt with society since the day they were born and having zero chance to get rid of it until the day they die.”

Let the hatesurge of “Post Mortem Nihil Est” defeat your fiscal optimism via Pitchfork RIGHT HERE.

The LP’s title track “Agnus Dei” can be heard via BrooklynVegan RIGHT HERE.

This November and December THE SECRET will storm Europe on tour supporting Converge, Touché Amoré and A Storm of Light, with much more tour action to be announced into the new year.

Since 2003 THE SECRET has waged musical warfare with their incendiary brew of metallic hatred, their songs constantly growing more caustic and intolerant with each release. Merging elements of crust, black metal and hardcore with the force of tectonic plates, constructed of monolithic riffs which take the listener through a hallucinated trip towards a hazy tomorrow, Agnus Dei was recorded by Kurt Ballou (High on Fire, Converge, Black Breath) at Godcity Studios as was their previous album, Solve Et Coagula

THE SECRET's newest full-length Solve Et Coagula -- their first for Southern Lord Recordings -- was released to in September, unleashing it's brutally-charged surge of noise-laden metallic hatred on the unsuspecting public, and since appearing on countless "Best of 2010" lists in recent weeks. Recorded by Kurt Ballou at his Godcity Studios (Trap Them, Converge, Disfear), Solve Et Coagula runs rampant with dismantling breakdowns, gargantuan riffage and jackhammer blastbeats, all empowered by the most shredding vocal attack. THE SECRET's attack is surely cutting edge, and places them near the top of the heaviest bands to ever surge forth from Italy. Solve Et Coagulaexposes the sound of humanity's failure and defeat, embodied as pure aural rage.

+ + +
"Sinister and coarse, the hyperactive coupling of chaotic screeching with detuned riffs and pummeled drums and cymbals inside black metal dissonance on Solve Et Coagula is equally nightmarish and exciting." - Exclaim!

"...a most entertaining album from start to finish...if, by good fortune, your head is still attached to your torso when all is said and done. The Secret, like all good secrets, truly is a revelation. 4/5" - All Music Guide

"...this is The Secret's most cohesive and powerful release yet, worthy on any shelf with records by Integrity, Converge, Pulling Teeth, or recent faves like Amenra and Celeste." - Brooklyn Vegan

"...epically driven aggression of the highest order with the producer, Converge’s Kurt Ballou, delivering his most searing sonic performance yet. The near-genius crescendo of record opener “Cross Builder” is alone easily one of the heaviest and most dramatic things you’ll ever hear. 9/10" - The Montreal Mirror

"Dirty as fuck black metal-meets-hardcore." - MetalSucks

"...an album that finds Converge-influenced hyperactive passion uniting with obliteratingly heavy detuned riffs, demonic girth and attitude clearly culled from black metal’s most tormenting heyday. Essentially, Solve Et Coagula is as imposing and acerbic as it is enthrallingly original." - Hellbound

"This stuff is bleak, harsh, and unrelenting, twelve tracks of utterly miserable crusty darkness that bury their atmospheric indulgences behind sheer naked fury." - Metal Reviews

THE SECRET: New Track Premiers On MetalSucks; Vinyl Release Nears

Tonight, MetalSucks unloads a new track from Solve Et Coagula

The latest release from Italian skullcrushers THE SECRET. Drop what you're doing, and check out "Antitalian" right now, at this location.

THE SECRET might actually be a misleading name for this crushing act, as recent praise of the album reigns in, exposing the horde's infectious attack. Solve Et Coagula -- the band's third full-length, and first for Southern Lord -- was officially dropped on the masses at the end of September, carpet-bombing audiences everywhere with its neck-snapping, nihilistic, mournful and antagonistic attack on life, the album's twelve tracks brutally integrating a crushing metallic hardcore flow into extremely tortured, noise-ridden, riff-bending madness.

Southern Lord will unleash the beast known as Solve Et Coagula on 12" wax to the masses on November 22nd. Limited to 1000 copies worldwide, 300 are being pressed on gold vinyl, and available to mailorder via the 'Lord only.

North American tour aktions for THE SECRET are in the planning stages now, and will be released shortly. Interviews with the band and review copies of Solve Et Coagula are available now.

Solve Et Coagula was recorded by Kurt Ballou at his Godcity Studios (Trap Them, Converge, Disfear). Running rampant with dismantling breakdowns, gargantuan riffage and jackhammer blastbeats, all empowered by the most shredding vocal attack, THE SECRET's attack is surely cutting edge, and places them near the top of the heaviest bands to ever surge forth from Italy. Definitely a band for fans of Converge, Cursed and labelmates Black Breath, Solve Et Coagulaexposes the sound of humanity's failure and defeat, embodied as pure aural rage.

"The body and soul of The Secret’s fast-paced, fuzzed out, frenetic attack lies in the hardcore bands I'm betting these guys listened to growing up, but they're clearly metalheads too that pride themselves on incorporating elements from all over the metal spectrum; a tinge of black metal melodies and chord voicings, a blast beat here, a doomy slow-down there." - MetalSucks

"Sinister and coarse, the hyperactive coupling of chaotic screeching with detuned riffs and pummeled drums and cymbals inside black metal dissonance on Solve Et Coagula is equally nightmarish and exciting." - Exclaim!

"This stuff is bleak, harsh, and unrelenting, twelve tracks of utterly miserable crusty darkness that bury their atmospheric indulgences behind sheer naked fury." - Metal Reviews

"...an album that finds Converge-influenced hyperactive passion uniting with obliteratingly heavy detuned riffs, demonic girth and attitude clearly culled from black metal’s most tormenting heyday. THE SECRET: Album Details Unveiled

Trieste, Italy's crushing quartet THE SECRET are set to drop their upcoming Solve Et Coagulafull-length via Southern Lord Recordings this September 28th.

The twelve hellish hymns embodied in Solve Et Coagula were captured by Kurt Ballou (Trap Them, Converge, Cursed) in his infamous Godcity Studios, resulting in cavernous, earthmoving tonal supremacy. Each song preaches of loss of faith in all forms of religion and politics and a vile outlook on humanity as a whole. The album runs rampant with dismantling breakdowns, gargantuan, swelling riffage and jackhammer blastbeats, all empowered by the most shredding vocal attack.

While surely reminiscent of Converge, Cursed and labelmates Black Breath, THE SECRET integrate as much influence from filthy politi-crust acts, as well as psychotic metalcore into Solve Et Coagula's metallic surge. But no matter how you try to compare or categorize this highly lethal Italian export, the end result is certain; this is the sound of humanity's failure and defeat, embodied as pure aural rage.

THE SECRET have previously unleashed two full-length releases on now defunct Goodfellow Records (2004's Luce and 2008's Disintoxication), and have undergone countless lineup changes and setbacks over the past few years. The current lineup is inarguably the most devastating and concise to date, making Solve Et Coagula their most lethal assault yet.
