Cryptopsy the extreme metal band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the past twenty years released six studio albums, a live album and an EP. This elder metal monster with vast experience and knowledge bring to us a self-release, solid, complex, technical vicious and furious death metal album full of ability with different passages, almost in the category of progressive, with some jazz/alternative lines and other styles and techniques that make this yet to release album “Cryptopsy” one of the most complex and heaviest tech-death metal work of the year without doubt. We are absorbed by this magnificent death metal album, with a powerful sound since the beginning of the album and a perfect execution of combining death with many others styles, the creativity of these experts is explored in a higher level. Musics such as “Two-Pound Torch”, “Red-Skinned Scapegoat” and “Amputated Enigma” are brilliant, heavy, with an alternative and complicated progression… with a new touch of innovation and due to experience, nerve and perfectionism I can only say that this album deserves (8.5/10).
