BRUCE LAMONT Confirms A Throng Of Solo Tour Dates And SXSW Shows

Multi-instrumentalist and vocal sorcerer BRUCE LAMONT (Yakuza, Bloodiest, Circle Of Animals, Led Zeppelin 2) has confirmed a string of solo tour dates for this month, leading up-to and following his action-packed and diverse set of shows at this year's annual SXSW congregation in Austin.

LAMONT will be collaborating with random other musicians and artists on several of the shows -- similar to the impromptu live sets he pulled-off at last year's SXSW with Eyehategod's Mike Williams and Castevet's Andrew Hock, and just last month with Scott Kelly of Neurosis/Shrinebuilder on his current solo tour. Additionally the tour will showcase LAMONT performing with an array of artists during the run, including Rwake, Zoroaster, Andrew W.K., Alcest and more, including supporting Nachtmystium and The Atlas Moth on a majority of the appearances.

On these upcoming appearances BRUCE LAMONT will be performing versions of some of the material on his debut solo album Feral Songs For The Epic Decline -- which received massive media praise including Alarm Press, Decibel, Stereogum, Terrorizer and even a place in Spin Magazine's 2011 year-end metal lists -- as well as newer material he's been concocting since the album's release in January 2011. As with his previous solo tours over the past two years, LAMONT will be executing multiple instruments and a plethora of vocal styles, with an incredibly layered looping system that culminates into some of the most entrancing live solo artist work one could ask for. Rumor has it fans can also findLAMONT guest bartending and otherwise partying hard throughout the SXSW circuit when he's not performing.

Check out live BRUCE LAMONT footage -- including a full solo set filmed in Moscow last May as well as recent footage of him performing a cover of Neil Young's "Cortez The Killer" with Scott Kelly -- AT THIS LOCATION.

LED ZEPPELIN 2 To Kick Off First Shows of 2012! Band Reworks Yardbirds Song "LZ2" Style; Live Performance Today Morning On The Mancow Show

LED ZEPPELIN 2 -- the ultimate Led Zeppelin tribute band fronted by Yakuza's Bruce Lamont -- will embark on another round of tour dates this Friday. The short run will commence with two consecutive (and SOLD OUT) nights at Chicago's House Of Blues where the band will play a 1971 and 1975 Zep sets.

As an extra treat for fans, the band recorded a cover of the Yardbirds' "Happenings Ten Years Time Ago" from 1966. It's one of the few Yardbirds tunes to feature both Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck on twin lead guitars as well John Paul Jones on bass. Led Zeppelin never played this song live thus Lamont and his cohorts reworked the track LZ2 style with session bassist Scott Lucas from Local H.

Check out the tune, at THIS LOCATION. To download the track, visit the band's Facebook page and sign up for the mailing list HERE.

In addition, LED ZEPPELIN 2 will be performing live on the Mancow Show this Friday, January 13, 2012 at 9:00am EST. For more info visit: http://www.mancow.com.

LED ZEPPELIN 2 brings you the excitement of Led Zeppelin “In Concert” by re-enacting the live improvisation and onstage interaction that earned Led Zeppelin their legendary status. Rather than a “greatest hits” show, you get to experience Zeppelin as Zeppelin would have played live in front of an audience. LZ2 sold-out venues across the U.S. in 2010 and the early part of 2011 and continue to draw rave reviews for a “spot-on” Zeppelin show, playing deep cuts and classic tracks from the entire catalog, and occasionally entire Led Zeppelin performances from specific shows and sets from the band’s storied history.

Bruce Lamont Solo Album Details Begin To Emerge

Details on the upcoming solo album from Bruce Lamont are beginning to ooze forth as the album nears release. The first solo album from the Yakuza frontman will be released worldwide via the brutally eclectic At A Loss Recordings on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011.

"I began working on solo material in early 2006," states Lamont, on the inspiration behind the album. "I wanted to delve further into creating music without limits or boundaries, devoid of predicable twists and turns which is simply a reflection of personality, while challenging my own mind and beliefs." Entitled Feral Songs For The Epic Decline, the diverse album bears seven tracks Lamont himself envisioned and created utilizing an arsenal of instruments including reeds, saxophones, guitars, moog synths, contact mics, percussion and more, as well as incorporating a multitude of vocal styles, looping tones and creating post-doom/metal elements infiltrated with everything from grating noise to cerebral soundscapes. "I enjoy melody." he continues. "Not in a formulaic sense though. I have more of a desire to move beyond melody, syncopated rhythms, creating moods and textures, pushing voice and instruments into an unconventional realm, allowing my subconscious to dictate the flow of ideas, living and reveling in the moment."

Feral Songs For The Epic Decline Track Listing:

1. One Who Stands On The Earth

2. The Epic Decline

3. Year Without Summer

4. The Book Of The Law

5. Disgruntled Employer

6. Deconstructing Self Destruction

7. 2 Then The 3

Four tracks from Feral Songs For The Epic Decline were recorded with the infamous Sanford Parker in 2007, and the other three tracks recorded in May of this year, again with Parker, culminating four years of heavy writing and dedication from Lamont, while juggling countless other musical ventures he's invested his life to. The cover artwork and layout for the massive project has been commissioned to the visionary Seldon Hunt (Nachtmystium, Sunn O))), Isis, etc.), and will be posted shortly.

Most widely recognized for his saxophone and vocal work fronting Chicago mindwarp metallers Yakuza, Bruce Lamont has also contributed to a plethora of other projects including Bloodiest (featuring members of 90 Day Men, Sterling), Circle of Animals (with Sanford Parker, Minsk/The High Confessions), Sick Gazelle (with Eric Block and Sanford Parker) and even Led Zeppelin II, a nationally touring mainstream Led Zep cover act in which Lamont immaculately plays the part of Robert Plant! He's also recorded with Sigh, East West Blast Test, Minsk, Nachtmystium, Rabid Rabbit, Brutal Truth, Cephalic Carnage, Sweet Cobra, Locrian, Hex Machine and more.

In July of 2006 Lamont made his debut solo performance, and has since performed alongside countless musicians, some of which include Scott Kelly (Neurosis, Shrinebuilder), Battles, John Cale (Velvet Underground) Toby Driver (Kayo Dot), OM, Daniel Higgs (Lungfish) and Lichens, among others.
