VULTURE INDUSTRIES will play two shows in February, which will see the Norwegian Progressive Extreme Metallers perform a set which will include some unexpected material that the band is rehearsing especially for these two performances. Also making a guest appearance for some of the set will be TAAKE front man Hoest.
The first of the two dates will take place on the 3rd February at Dirty Skunks, in the Kino Siska, an old movie theatre in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Entrance to this show will be free, as the venue will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. The second date will be on the 4th February at Blue Hell in Budapest, and will mark VULTURE INDUSTRIES’ first ever appearance in Hungary.
Based in Bergen, and with two critically acclaimed releases on DARK ESSENCE RECORDS under their belts, VULTURE INDUSTRIES’ line up is composed of Bjornar Nilsen (BLACK HOLE GENERATOR) on vocals, keys and programming, guitarists Øyvind Madsen (SULPHUR, ex-ENSLAVED) and Eivind Huse (SULPHUR), Kyrre Teigen on bass and Tor Helge Gjengedal (ex-TAAKE) on drums. Nilsen, who also happens to be TAAKE’s producer, is known for his highly theatrical on-stage performances, and the additional appearance of Hoest, one of Black Metal’s most focussed and dynamic front men, is an indication that these two shows promise to be something very special.
More information about VULTURE INDUSTRIES can be found on the band’s website.

Gaahlskagg is a project, founded out of the band Sigfader in the year 1998, since both Gaahl and Skagg wanted to create more extreme, more mocking music… with few - if any! - limitations.
They first released the Split CD: “Erotic Funeral Party I” together with Stormfront in 1999. In 2000 they released the full-length: “Erotic Funeral”, which was recorded in Grieghallen studios during 666I.
In the following years Gaahlskagg worked on their second full-length album: “Av Norrønt Blod” but it remains unpublished and labled as "work in progress" due to the fact that both Gaahl (Trelldom, Wardruna, Sigfader) and Skagg (Deathcult, Sigfader) have other, more important projects that need to be taken care of!
For this upcoming release Høst (Taake, Deathcult) will do some guest vocals.
Gaahlskagg Country of origin: Norway Location: Bergen Status: Active Year of creation: 1998 Genre: Black Metal Lyrical themes: Satanism, Perversion, Sex, Graves Current label:Unsigned/independent
Gaahlskagg is a side project of Gaahl, the former vocalist of the Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth, and Skagg. They play raw old-school black metal with some industrial tendencies.
Gaahlskagg evolved from Sigfader, but they are two different bands still existing.
Skagg played on Nattefrost's side of "Engangsgrill" as a guest under his alter ego "Herr Ekkel".

ATTENTION:
No Colours Records re-released Erotic Funeral without permission in late ‘08 as one 12” LP - available limited to 100 pieces in blue vinyl and as regular, unlimited edition, in black vinyl - instead of the previously announced pair of three 7” EP’s.
This release should therefore be considered a bootleg!
There is also a typo on the LP which says that Thurzur did the drums for “EF” which is incorrect, since the drums were handled by Mutt at this time.
Active in 1999/2000, Gaahlskagg released two CDs in a style they called "perverse black rape metal" a mixture of punk and black metal with some industrial tendencies. The already partially recorded follow up "Av Norrønt Blod" remains unfinished.

“Heiðindómr ok Mótgangr” will beHELHEIM’s seventh full-length album, and it follows on last November’s release of the MCD "Åsgards Fall", which served as an introduction to the new album. Recorded at Conclave and Earshot Studio in Bergen with producer Bjørnar Nilsen (VULTURE INDUSTRIES, BLACK HOLE GENERATOR) at the helm and mastered by Herbrand Larsen (ENSLAVED), the nine-track album includes guest appearances from TAAKE’s Hoest, Gunnar Emmerhoff (EMMERHOFF & THE MELANCHONY BABIES), PV Staff and Trine Mjanger. The first edition of “Heiðindómr ok Mótgangr” will include a bonus-DVD containing concerts from the 2009 With Full Force and Inferno Festivals, as well as the videos for ”Dualitet og Ulver”, ”Stones To The Burden” and ”Jernskogen”.
Due for release in Norway on the 1st of April and world-wide on the 23rd of May, “Heiðindómr ok Mótgangr” will be the band’s first release to be sung entirely in Norwegian since ”Blod og ild” in 2000. Commenting on the track that the band will debut, V’gandr explained: “Viten og Mot (Stolthet)” means Knowledge and Courage (Pride). It is one of four lyrics on the album that are based on the words of Odin (Håvamål). Stolthet (Pride) is about preparing yourself to meet your enemies armed with both wisdom and skill. It’s about looking your enemies straight in the eyes and showing them who you are, rather than looking towards the heavens for protection or guidance. In the long run we are all alone and only through Knowledge, Courage and Pride can we achieve our goals”.
