Novembers Doom: Check out the video for "Harvest Scythe"

After the release of depressive music video for "What Could Have Been" (featuring the singer Anneke Van Giersbergen) in the last 15 days the Novembers Doom has announced the release of "Harvest Scythe," music video for another song from his recent album "Aphotic".

Rated by many as one of the best releases of 2011, Novembers Doom leaves clear marks of its success: the fusion of depression, brutality and darkness in their music.

"The song is about an internal conflict in the mind of a person with multiple personalities, and unable to fight against them. The house represents her mind, where he is 'stuck'. The different clothes he wears, the way he write on the floor ... Everything in the video has an emotional representation of the character,"says band founder and lead singer Paul Kuhr, to the site MetalSucks.

Check out below the video clip of "Harvest Scythe" and "What Could Have Been".

NOVEMBERS DOOM Reveals Title and Track List for New Album

American band "NOVEMBERS DOOM" ended records for the eighth  "Aphotic" album, available on May 10 via The End Records.

The material has a guest on Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua De Annique, The Gathering) , but also the violinist Rachel Barton Pine (Earthen Grave).

The material is mixed by Dan Swano , he recorded vocals for the song and And Origin Of Age.

NOVEMBERS DOOM frontman Paul Kuhr says of the new album, "One goal in NOVEMBERS DOOM is to never repeat ourselves. We aim to constantly challenge our writing abilities to deliver something new each and every time, while maintaining what we feel is our signature sound. We feel we've not only accomplished that with 'Aphotic', but have pushed our creativity into new musical territory. The result is quite possibly the most unique NOVEMBERS DOOM release yet."

According to a press release, "Aphotic" "has its roots in darkness and melancholic madness, reminiscent of the band's early doom roots but bringing something new and modern to the listener."

The album's tracklisting is:

01. The Dark Host
02. Harvest Scythe

04. What Could Have Been

Novembers Doom

Rain

Becoming one with madness, a chaos to embrace
Struggling for my sanity, clear skies turning gray
My demons stand before me, and taunt my every thought
The only way to cleanse my soul, is drown my dirt with rain

Water now engulfs me, it burns my sins away
Enemy preys upon my flesh as darkness burns the sky
Surface drifting further, taken from my sight
The only way to cleanse my soul, is drown my dirt with rain

No one to save me, a promise to be made
For heartsick memories, below the murky wake

In shallow water, I will drown unfeigned
My death knell rings below the flood
To wash away my sins of yesterday
And give me the chance to murder your name again

Becoming one with madness, a chaos to embrace
Struggling for my sanity, clear skies turning gray
My demons stand before me, and taunt my every thought
The only way to cleanse my soul, is drown my dirt with rain

In shallow water, I will drown unfeigned
My death knell rings below the flood
To wash away my sins of yesterday
And give me the chance to murder your name again

Chuva

A água agora me engolfa, queima meus pecados

Em águas rasas irei me afogar sincero

Em águas rasas irei me afogar sincero
O toque da minha morte toca debaixo da inundação
Para lavar meus pecados de ontem,
E me dar uma chance de assasinar seu nome de novo.
