NOVEMBERS DOOM Release Video for "What Could Have Been" /Announce Weekly Podcast

The first video from new NOVEMBERS DOOM album Aphotic has been released. The song, "What Could Have Been," features vocalist Anneke Van Giersbergen  (Auga De Anneque,ex-The Gathering) and can be viewed at this location. The video has a cinematic feel, using once again Cage XXI Enterprises and Director Tony Myles. Tony is also responsible for the "Autumn Reflection" and "A Eulogy for the Living Lost" videos.

Negative Existence officially released Chambers Of Perversions from Germany's blackened speed metal heathens, RUINS on May 20th, 2011.  

Chambers of Perversion was originally released in 2010 as a 10" vinyl. The release was limited to 250 copies and sold out almost immediately. The record contained 8 songs of 'Black fucking speed metal' and a hellish rendering from well known metal artist Mark Riddick.   

RUINS captures the intensity of old Sodom with the viciousness of bands like Bestial Mockery and Toxic Holocaust. "With the newly released Dark Meditations In Monastic Seclusion doing so well I figured I'd keep the ball rolling by beginning to release some of the stuff that was recorded before it.Objective:Isolation is one such album and is, out of all the unreleased stuff, my personal favorite. It was recorded in two different sessions in the summer of 2009 and literally forced its way out of me during these sessions. I had nothing prearranged when I went into this album. I had no riffs, lyrics, artwork or anything that would lead a person to belief I was creating anything. I had ideas and a strong will to create. I also had a reason to create. Coming off a year spell where I wasn't writing metal, in fact I barely picked up an electric guitar during this period, I suddenly realized I had stored up a lot of frustration, confusion, despair, and aggression. If I didn't purge myself of these feelings something bad was going to happen, and I could feel it. So I began writing. The title came first. It's a very cliche title, but the only appropriate one. I was disappearing inside myself, escaping to mental landscapes that were both serene and desolate. I was turning to the idea of isolation at a time when my life was anything but isolated. The cover and most of the artwork are of the section of Lake Superior that can be found in my hometown in Upper Michigan and was an easy choice for the art because this particular spot of the lake was a spot that I often retreated to with friends to get away from everything. So I was mentally retreating to this spot in times of stress, but there was something else. Something 'darker' inside as well. A lot of the times I was escaping to this place I was also imagining that the outside world had already died and I found great comfort in thinking of myself alone by the lake shore in a world that deserved its death. I didn't give myself a lot of time to do the rest of the album. I knew that losing this drive was a great possibility so I worked non stop during these sessions, with one mic and the patience to program drums. I also didn't edit lyrics or riffs. The album is largely an exercise in stream of consciousness performance. Most of the solos are one take. The lyrics have cliches that should have been edited out. There are flubbed notes all over and I don't care. After the tracks were laid down the vocal sessions began and from there it was all mixing. Mixing this album was a fucking bitch and it was the thing that made me lose the drive to complete the album. So I put it away for a while and during this time met the guys that would become Shroud of Despondency 2011. While no one that is on Dark Meditations... can be found on Objective: Isolation and we are much more focused on writing material as a unit now, I still think this is an album worth hearing. And, while it is quite obvious that it is a DIY CD with no proper mastering or other "professional" minded nonsense allowed, I think it is obvious that the album has plenty of spirit and plenty of balls. So if you are one of the free spirits who sees yourself at war with the world and all its pathetic herd minded philosophies, give it some time. I think these lyrics from the song "Wound" sum up the album nicely: "I am there standing on the shores of Superior, reconciling the world with my interior. I could proclaim innocence but who would care? Who would even hear?"

Hyperborean was formed in August of 2000 with the intention of playing melodic extreme metal. The band recorded two demos Of Malice and Thorns Scar Her Soul with basically the same line-up and they were well received by the underground media.

After the early demos Hyperborean's line-up changed, and with that so did the band's sound when Andreas camePublicar mensagem into the picture. The soon music took a darker and more aggressive path. A third demo, Prey, was made in 2005 and after that the band was put on hold for a few years. Although on hiatus, the members of Hyperborean were still writing material and those songs eventually became the foundation for The Spirit of Warfare, which was recorded in August of 2009. The Spirit of Warfare is an album that is driven by the theme of warfare. The main focus lies on World War I, with Weapon Mankind being written about the mentality that dominated Western European Civilization at this time.  Occurring, as it did, at the twilight of the Post-Westfaldic period that saw a Europe divided between various rivaling empires. Europe was a powder keg ready to explode and  her nations and peoples were eagerly awaiting and welcoming the explosion.

In the late summer of '09, drummer Quint Meerbeek drove guitarist/vocalist Thomas Wouters home after Thomas did a gig with his previous band in Rotterdam. Not content with the band Thomas played in at that time, he asked Quint if he was interested in forming a brand new no-nonsense death metal formation. A few days later the two of them hooked up for a few beers to talk some shit over, and a week later they met in the rehearsal room. This combination seemed an instant success, and BODYFARM was born, hailing from their beloved hometown of Amersfoort. Heavily influenced by bands like Grave, Vomitory, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Massacre, Vader, and many others, they decided NOT to be a specifically innovative, technical or refreshing band: "We play plain death metal, and have fun while doing it. As long as it's aggressive, catchy, groovy and raw we are good with it. We are not doing something new, we're just doing what sounds good to us and try to keep it relatively primitive. Our only message is to enjoy death metal the way it's supposed to sound" .. .. BODYFARM is rehearsing weekly, working hard on their repertoire. Thomas and Quint decided to be the rock solid foundation, and creative force of the band to make sure BODYFARM will always keep it's unique but recognizable sound. "So we went looking for musicians who wanted to play with us live, and eventually found them. Bram as a guitarist, and Mathieu, a bass player. Both experienced and fast learning musicians, and that is exactly what we're looking for" BODYFARM is working hard on composing new songs every week to thrash with a worthy setlist. With succes! Monsterworks Release Video for "God" / Gear Up For New Albums

Monsterworks' The God Album Released Today in the U.S.

UK Supermetallers MONSTERWORKS have just completed a new DIY video for "God," the title track from The God Album, released on February 28th through Casket Music. Check it out BELOW.

The song itself is a general commentary on religion and puts the god of the Old Testament in a philosophical headlock.  However, if you find that too deep, just enjoy the METAL.  Most of the lyrics are lost in the screaming and roaring anyway!

The band is presently seeking label interest for releasing the follow up to The God Album. Entitled Album of Man, the effort is already recorded, mixed, mastered and ready for a good home.  This latest material is the natural musical and thematic progression from The God Album, with the best production yet and a few new twists.  

As if that wasn't enough, Monsterworks enter Earth Terminal Studios, Hampshire, UK on April 13, 2011 to begin recording a yet further album.  These guys are more prolific than AIDS in Africa! And at least as smart as the decision to fund faith-based education programs which preach abstinence, rather than buying condoms which actually work.
