RISE OF VON: Dark Gods II: Rise Of The Ancients Advance Single Posted Ritual of The Black Mass European Tour Days Away

Following the unleashing of the first Dark Gods installment, the second in the malevolent trilogy from black/death corruptors VON is nearly upon us!

Entitled Dark Gods: Rise Of The Ancients and completely envisioned and created by VON’s sole entity VENIEN!!!, part two of the Dark Gods trilogy infiltrates the classic/staple low-fi blackened monstrosities with which VON is synonymous, with more demonic rock, guttural vocal torment, and a plodding/maniacal occult doom murkiness.

The first plague from the trilogy comes as an advance single titled "Ritual Of The Black Mass." Initially released via Terrorizer Magazine’s covermount Fear Candy #121 CD compilation inside issue 127, the audio for “Ritual Of The Black Mass” is now streaming via VON’s official Bandcamp page RIGHT HERE.


Full details on the upcoming release of Dark Gods II: Rise of The Ancients will be revealed shortly in the impending, bleak Summer months ahead.

VON will manifest material from the Dark Gods trilogy live on foreign shores this Summer on the now seventeen-city Ritual of The Black Mass European Tour 2013, beginning this Wednesday, June 19th in Oberhausen, Germany.

VON: Dark Gods Rise! Seven Billion Slaves Out NOW!

VON: Satanic Black Metal Legion To Perform First-Ever NYC Live Ritual Next Week


On these special days between the warmth of Thanksgiving and the joy of Christmas, let us pause and take a moment to remember the hate, violence, filth, corruption, and pure evil that surrounds us daily, and rejoice.
On December 11, Brooklyn, New York will see blood as legendary cult black metal legion, VON, makes their first-ever New York City appearance at Saint Vitus. Brought to you by The Blackened Music Series, VON will be joined by openers Magic Is Küntmaster and Anicon.

Said About.com in a recap of the band’s live ritual in Los Angeles last month: “The main draw began after midnight as VON, adorned in blood, strode across the stage. The crowd went nuts as Venien, drummer Anthony Mainiero (of The Atlas Moth), and guitarists Xaphan (of Kult Ov Azazel), Lord Giblete, and Hammer Of Dread launched their assault. With a deeply powerful sound not captured on the original Satanic Blood demo, the droning quality of VON’s music leapt to the forefront as the set wore on.  Individual songs soon disappeared into a crescendo of droning cadence and chaos. VON simply did not let up without a discernible break as the set soon became one long song that lasted for well over an hour. The powerful, hypnotic quality of the music cannot be overstated, a quality that is apparent on the newly released re-recording Satanic Blood.”

In 1987, the year of Tiffany, Rick Astley, and "Walk Like An Egyptian," a group of degenerate teenagers from San Francisco conjured a primitive, minimalist, trance-like buzz from their basements. VON's two recordings, Satanic Bloodand Blood Angel, were passed around the world as bootlegs, inspiring the Second Wave Norwegian sound that spawned thousands of bands over the last 25 years.

 After more than 20 years, the long overdue official album has finally revealed itself via Von  Records. VON creator, Jason “Venien” Ventura, entered the Von Records studio — “The Pit” — in Litchfield Park,  Arizona to record 19 classic tunes from the band’s early days. The end product, Satanic Blood, was produced by Venien, mixed by Andrew Ragin at Wall To Wall Recording Studios in Chicago, Illinois and mastered by John Gray at The Jungle Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona.

VON Streams “Watain” Additional Live Rituals Announced

After more than 20 years, the long overdue official album from legendary cult black metal legion, VON, has finally revealed itself via Von Records. VON creator, Jason “Venien” Ventura, entered the Von Records studio -- “The Pit” -- in Litchfield Park, Arizona to record 19 classic tunes from the band’s early days. The end product, Satanic Blood, was produced by Venien, mixed by Andrew Ragin at Wall To Wall Recording Studios in Chicago, Illinois and mastered by John Gray at The Jungle Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona. Satanic Blood is available in a 12″ x 12″ 20-page booklet with a mounted CD inside the back cover. The included booklet contains 17 stunningly grim illustrations by Venien as well as full lyric sheets and liner notes. Ordering info available HERE.

Coinciding with the legendary release, The Ritual Of The Black Mass will commence with the manifestations of VON and the Black Coming of Venien in the flesh at the previously announced Los Angeles performance as well as newly booked shows in San Francisco and New York City. VON fans from around the world sent in the voices chanting the Litanies in various languages for this unique collaboration. LITANIES OF VON was written by Jason "Venien" Ventura and the lyrics by Jason "Venien" Ventura and Shawn "Goat" Calizo. "Litanies of Von" is taken from the upcoming VON debut full length album "Satanic Blood". Check out below.

The end product, Satanic Blood, was produced by Venien, mixed by  Andrew Ragin  at Wall To Wall Recording Studios in Chicago, Illinois and mastered by  John Gray at The Jungle Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona. Satanic Blood will be available in a 12" x 12" 20-page booklet with a mounted CD inside the back cover.
