MISANTROF ANTIRecords releases a new BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT LIFELINES EP. Pure evolution... The next step!

Another release, a further step forward. Beyond The Morninglight cannot be stopped, cannot  wait. It's a matter of constant unstoppable evolution. Always aiming to the next level, this EP respects its owns title, drawing a line on the life of this band, a line that is passed over, taking it all to a new reality. Musical evolution, style evolution, that melancholic style becomes something newer, higher, stronger. And the band grew up too, welcoming Erik at the guitars, giving a shocking injection of electric feeling to the band's whole warm and grooving sound.

Runar's lyrics deeper than ever and his sad sounding voice is now fully expressed, thanks to the stronger work of the new line up. There's clearly more space for everyone and every single instrument -from the breathtaking guitars to the erotic bass lines, from the majesty of the mellotron to the great drumming performance- is there to let listener feel it as an individual essence and as part of a greater project.
Autumn music, written staring at a calm river flow, lost in the solitude of the intense Norwegian nature, while rain, fog and a dominating darkness can reflects thoughts into oneself's inner mirror, intensifying those thoughts creation process. A philosophical route that becomes reality when crossing the gates of that essence and dimension feeding emotions, sensations and passions.

BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT: LIFELINES The Perfect Liberation Of All Gloomy Feelings!

I always thought that melancholic music was the perfect liberation of despair, sorrow, sadness, anger and all the gloomy feelings. Give me teardrops falling from the guitar strings, a sad cry escaping from each note of the piano and a mournful voice echoing with poetic beauty and I will close my eyes and drift away to the sound of an infinite emotion inside my mind and heart.

Runar
I remember my first experience listening to BTM (Beyond The Morninglight). It was different in many ways and I couldn´t remain indifferent to what was in front of me. If you ask me what was it like I can surely say it was a mix of emotions! The first thing hitting me was Runar voice… deep and soft with an unique beauty but at the same time sad and melancholic  as if a dreadful loss drowned the vocalist in a kind of profound nightmare. The second thing that I really enjoyed but only after listening to it a few times was the uncommon blend between rock and roll, doom and melodies. I have to say that at first it was very strange to my ear but time after time the soundscape was getting easier to understand and all the influences of the band were making much sense together. Last but not least what surprised me was the simplicity of the music that seemed to deny the complexity of all the musical structure.

I remember my words in an old BTM review: “... the dark sound of Norway influenced by its depressive atmosphere that creates the perfect ambient for the melancholic music.”, or something like that. Today those words remain in me to describe this band but with a slight difference- the dark sound of BTM creates a unique blend of music that exudes their own style in the best way possible.

Lifelines” EP is the perfect execution of their vision and clear evolution of BTM and the refinement of a style that can come to change the way people look at their music.

BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT: LIBERATION When the gloomy art is expressed

Runar Funeralheart and Andy Amin, two old friends that together shared a vision, that vision was Beyond the Morninglight and now it’s a passion, a strong bond between two friends united by rock and roll. Beyond the Morninglight aren´t the usual rock band, they spread the dark sound of Norway influenced by its depressive atmosphere that creates the perfect environment for the gloomy/doom and melancholic music. Despite this feeling of sadness and loneliness getting hold of us, the welcoming, warm and beautiful melodies make you reach emotions that sometimes are sleeping inside of you.

Liberation” is the name of BTM new album and since their last work they really have matured and their creativity has taken a new step towards their growth. This release is about the cycle of life, the life of a man in all its glory that loses control and enters in a sea of solitude till the end of his time and the fading of the light.

Runar Funeralheart singer and lyrical poet leave us caught up in his story, the way he can express his feelings and emotions and his deep, calm but sordid voice elevate the music to a higher level, full of energy.  Is quite evident that the environment of his dark home (Norway) influence his whole being, with its vast landscapes and winter sky and all the energy that surrounds the silent and vast nature.

Daniel Vrangsinn (Carpathian Forest, Vrangsinn, Misantrof) was the producer, mixer and engineer of BTMLiberation” and his touch contributed for the best expansion of the work and emphasized all the emotions in this story creating a journey you must experience.

MISANTROF ANTIRecords releases sophomore ALBUM of BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT

From Norway, some warmer sound, yet colder and darker than ever.

Their new album titled "LIBERATION" is a milestone. An artistic milestone. The band's creativity really blossomed, crafting this superb concept album, based upon the downfall of a young man in his prime, all through his decadence, until his end, and the dyed black day of his funeral.

The story is told as seen from the eyes of Runar Funeralheart, singer and lyricist of the band, who really feels all the life, all the air, all landscapes and all the death surrounding him, and can transform all those sensations into little creatures he likes to take care of, like children to feed, watch over and grow up into massive songs, so full of energy, soul and deepest emotions.

Extremely influenced by those grey winter skies of Norway, with those silent vast lands inspiring loneliness and melancholy, Runar and Andy of Beyond The Morninglight simply reach a deeper, also higher, level of introspectiveness. Their creativity is Norwegian air breathed in and released back out in form of gloomy melodies, endless mellotron driven sensations, dark atmospheres, and such a shrouding feeling never felt before.

The final twist, came from the contorted visions of Daniel Vrangsinn (Carpathian Forest, Vrangsinn), who managed to inject some further cold blood inside the veins of this doomy opus, bringing the sounds to its best level, offering you a deeper journey into the process of releasing the pain, the end of suffering, the final Liberation.

Runar, states, talking about this last effort: “The lyrics is what really takes the toll on me... I have to write and rewrite for weeks in solitude to get in whatever state to bring the shit. But people seem to enjoy them, they seem to connect somehow”.

Runar Funeralheart releases "En skygge for Solen"

Stavenger, "Beyond The Morninglight" singer and guitar player Runar Funeralheart has posted on youtube his new solo project "En skygge for Solen" In English- "A shadow before the sun". With a sound very similar to BTM but with a new gloomy energy and sad melody which results in this dark experience that began with Runar personal journey painted in despair and self-destruction in September 2011 when he was drunk and under the influence. Runar felt the need to be heard and exteriorize the unheard voice "the shadow before the sun", the dark before the light, the erased people and the end is the poetic words he exhales in this song.

Ashes and broken glass and people erased.
Distant drums and funeral hearts.
A new morning, I'm mourning.
Open a vein and drink of my youth.
Keep an open mind and let me in.
Falling away, falling away from you.
Close your eyes and see the light.
Do you see, do you see me when you sleep?
Give yourself to me, touch my pale skin.
This is the end...
Right wing, left wing, broken wing.
Am I the master of your soul?

Runar also wrote a new track called 'Melankolia' that comes out next December.

MISANTROF ANTIRECORDS RELEASES BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT VIDEO SINGLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD

Stavanger’s “gloomy rock’n’rollers” BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT have today released a single from their forthcoming sophomore album, “Liberation”.  “Open Your Eyes” is a psychedelically- tinged rock track, with a melancholy atmosphere, combined with deep-thinking, existential lyrical content.  To go with the single, and to commemorate their fifth year together, the band has also created its first video, which was filmed at dawn in the evocative surroundings of Norway’s rural Rogaland.  Both the video, in MP4 format, and the MP3 of “Open Your Eyes” can be downloaded for free from BTM.music.Misantrof.net.

BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT’S sound has been celebrated for its progressive leanings and bold evolution.  Frontman Runar and fellow bandmate Andy (acoustic guitar, mellotron and organ bass pedals) list PINK FLOYD and THE CURE amongst their diverse influences, as well as citing experimental, psychedelic 70s artists as having had an impact on their uniquely dark, atmospheric, introverted approach. Commenting on the track, Runar (vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, mellotron and organ bass pedals) says: “It’s a great example of what’s to come on our second album, which is very powerful and different from our first. We are using mellotron instead of organ this time, so the soundscape is gloomier”. “Open Your Eyes” is one of four songs that have so far been completed for “Liberation”, and we are currently spending as much time as possible in the studio to get the whole album finished."

Liberation, which is scheduled for release in 2012, is being recorded and mastered by Daniel Vrangsinn (VRANGSINN, CARPATHIAN FOREST, SECHT etc.) who heads Misantrof ANTIRecords, which he founded with the intention of allowing the bands signed to the label complete control over their own work.  All Misantrof releases are available for free download, with some bands also choosing to make the releases available for sale via CD or Vinyl with. The video for BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT’s “Open Your Eyes was itself filmed and produced by Vrangsinn, whose own his multi-media release “PHOBIA”, and the forthcoming TABOO, are heavily orientated towards the visual, as well as the aural, experience.  Says Runar: “We have become quite close friends with Daniel over recent years, since he produced our first album, and it is always good to be back in the studio with him - he’s a great guy to work with”.
